Sweet pears, crisp oat topping and a blend of warm spices make this vegan chai spiced vegan gluten-free pear crisp the perfect fall dessert.

Fall is my most favorite season. For many reasons, but mostly for the fall baking. Everything with pumpkin, apples or pears. Pies, muffins, crisps, breads, tarts. I just want to be baking all of my favorite fall recipes, all day long. When doesn’t a loaf of pumpkin spice bread sound good?

Gluten Free Vegan Chai Spiced Pear Crisp. Warm chai spices, sweet pears and a refined sugar free crumb topping. A lovely fall dessert!

For so many of us, fall is a special time for enjoying food with loved ones. To help everyone share in these yummy moments, Simply Organic and Go Dairy Free have teamed up with 10 talented food bloggers {including yours truly}, for a Bake-Off. So fun! We were all asked to create sweet or savory recipes, that are both dairy free and filled with flavor.

When I was was first asked to join this fall bake-off, I said, “please give me all the warm, cozy spices!” Cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves, nutmeg and allspice. Mix them all together and you’ve got my most favorite chai spice blend, the perfect accompaniment to this gluten-free pear crisp. I knew my recipe creation was going to be sweet, spicy and chai-inspired!

These fall spices from Simply Organic make this gluten free vegan chai spiced pear crisp simply delicious!

Most crisp recipes are made with either berries or apples. Berries make me think of summer and as much as I love apples, I’m a pear girl, through and through. I especially love them when they are still a bit crisp. Serve them with almond butter for a snack and I’m good to go. With this gluten-free pear crisp recipe, you’ll need your pears to be nice and ripe. If they are too firm, just set them on the counter for a day or two and the’ll soften right up.

You’re going to love the chai spice blend I put together for this recipe! I use an assortment of the Simply Organic spices and as a bonus, it makes a little extra for adding to breads and muffins. I added the chai spice blend to the juicy pear filling and the oat crumb topping. I also used coconut sugar and pure maple syrup to sweeten my chai spiced crisp, making it refined sugar free.

This fall-inspired dessert is most definitely best served warm and bubbly. Even better, top it with an enormous scoop of dairy free vanilla ice cream. Either way, this chai spiced vegan gluten-free pear crisp is a must bake for your family and friends this fall!
