Honey is one of the best substitutions for corn syrup, but it’s a bit sweeter than corn syrup, and also adds a slightly different flavor. You could also use Brown Rice Syrup or a Basic Sugar Syrup as a substitute. Each of these should be used in the same amounts called for by the recipe. (1 to 1)
To make Sugar Syrup:
Combine one cup of pure cane sugar with 1/4 cup of water and heat over a low flame until the sugar is dissolved and a thick consistency develops. Cool and use immediately in a recipe.
