List is great for me as I have a gluten & dairy sensitivity, but what about my kids that have severe reactions to food dyes?? Most of these have artificial colorings in them. :0( any suggestions? Or where can I find more info?? Thanks!!

I know Annie's Homegrown bunny fruit snacks are made w/o artificial colors. Whole Foods has a big bag of them (24 count) for about $6 right now. Also the Yummy Earth suckers and gummy fruits (also available in bulk for Halloween right now at Whole Foods) are dye-free. Otherwise, I think it will be hard to find traditional Halloween candy w/o those nasty dyes!

We agree, the Annie's Homegrown Fruit Snacks are a great choice - kiddos love them & they even make a Trick or Treat size pack.

Just check out the last few on the list (from Enjoy Life on...) or go to naturalcandystore.com. Those will be the ones that will have natural, instead of artificial colors. And, just FYI, many people are allergic...even deathly allergic... to the things NATURAL dyes are made from...like the red bugs they grind up & use to make natural "lac." Or the soy lecithin that is used as a carrier for many flavors and dyes. So artificial does not always mean "bad."

After seeing this article I assumed that jolly ranchers made by hershey were safe I told my 10 year old go ahead have that jolly rancher lollipop. He read the ingredients and said mom I can't have this it has soy lecithin in! Thank god he read it! He is gluten/wheat dairy egg soy nut and seafood free.

Thank you for compiling the list of ideas we could go to but please remember to always check the ingredients yourself!

This is a fantastic list, I haven't found one this big before. At my work I always do candy bags an boxes for holidays and Halloween is coming up soon, but I know some people have a gluten, soy, peanut and dairy allergies or sensitivities, but I still want to give them high quality candy, and a variety of candy too. I'm so excited for this year because of this list, it'll be great! Thank you for all these great ideas!
