Hey Everybody! Happy Last Day of the Year!
I wanted to share 10 absolutely-true facts that I learned this year - they're the kind of info-bombs you can drop at parties and then say: "maybe you should read a little more" when someone doubts you.
Also, I wanted to thank you all for spending part of 2013 with us, and thank so many of you for supporting our Kickstarter to expand G-Free Foodie! There are just a few days left to join if you haven't already, and the prizes are pretty awesome, if I do say so myself!
Here We Go:
Every cardigan Mr. Rogers wore on his show was knitted by his mother.
Before he sold Quaker Oats & Life Insurance, Wilford Brimley was Howard Hughes' bodyguard.
The first professional beer brewers were women. In Peru, beer could only be brewed by women of nobility.
A Ten-Gallon hat holds a little less than one gallon of water. Trust me on this.
Mr. Clean has a first name. It is.... wait for it.... "Veritably"
President John Quincy Adams kept an alligator in the East Room.
Food chemist William A. Mitchel helped develop Tang, Cool Whip & Pop Rocks. (Also, my friend Fun Amy's Dad formulated the Nacho Cheese Sauce for Taco Bell. Not kidding)
Musician Prince's real first name is: Prince. And he is funky. (Two points if you can name that tune!)
Pepsi-Cola was originally called "Brad's Drink"
Prince Harry is partial owner of a Racehorse named "Usain Colt"
Happy New Year! Please check out our Kickstarter if you haven't already, and have a safe & sane 2014 -
KC
