    Ingredients

For the Gravy: 1 lb. package gluten free sausage (mild) 4 Tbsp. Mama's Almond or Coconut Blend Flour 3 cups Milk (dairy or rice) Salt and Pepper to taste For the Biscuits: 1 ½ cups Gluten Free Mama’s Pancake Mix (or other GF Pancake mix, you make need to use a little more or less to get dough to correct consistency) ¼ cup butter or dairy free margarine, melted ¾ cup buttermilk* 1 egg * This recipe can be made dairy free by using rice, soy, or nut milk with 2 tsp. of cider vinegar added. You may need to add 2 Tbsp of extra flour.

    Directions

For the Biscuits: Preheat oven to 400°. In a medium bowl, combine pancake mix, melted butter, buttermilk and egg. Mix well by hand. Using a large 2 inch scoop, drop biscuit dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Press lightly with lightly floured hands to flatten. Bake for 14-15 minutes. For the Gravy & Serving: Make a batch of GF Biscuits. Meanwhile brown sausage in frying pan. I like to cut it into small bite size pieces. You can also brown it like you would hamburger. Push sausage to the side of frying pan. Add one Tbsp. at a time of GF Flour. Mixing well with the grease to combine. Once all flour is mixed into the grease (may be thick and pasty like a roux) then add milk. Mix sausage and milk into the roux. Simmer over medium heat until sauce thickens. This will take about 5 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste. Cut biscuits in half and spoon gravy over biscuits. Recipe Courtesy: Gluten Free Mama
