Just over a week ago, I had my daughter Sam tested for Celiac Disease. You'd have thought I dropped my Gluten Free ice cream cone Eddie Murphy-style. I was really in a funk about it.
And right about the time I convinced myself that it would be fine if she has Celiac, the doctor called:
Negative. Not one antibody present. I made them read me all the numbers individually.
I was so relieved I could have passed out.
Yes, she can still develop Celiac later in life, I'll be on the lookout for that & any other autoimmune issues, I can assure you. But for now, I am happy to be the single Celiac in my household, thank you very much.
I can't begin to tell you how much I love that brown-eyed girl.

SO SO happy for you, my friend. I had 2 of my kids tested last year. It was such a relief when the results came back negative. I'm sometimes overwhelmed with guilt that I passed down my genes for Celiac to them. However, I also passed down my brains and beauty. So for that, they are lucky! 😉
