It's a cool day today, even though it's crazy-hot in California. Our G-Free Foodie site is growing, helping more people in our first few months than I imagined we could - but wait! There's more! I got messages from two restaurants this week asking about the right way to go Gluten Free, and read a blog on Antioxidant.com about a gluten-eater visiting G-Free Foodie to cook for a G-Free friend.
Is this heaven? And if it is, why is there still laundry for me to do?
I started this site with the idea that I could help other G-Free Foodies navigate the culinary world, and hoping that someone would turn me on to a few G-Free Food Finds too. I allowed a tiny part of myself to dream that Grandparents of Autistic children might come to us to convert a recipe or help them find G-Free mushroom soup, or that the friend of a Celiac might look us up for G-Free meal ideas, but I really thought those were dreams - the final frontier - reaching the peak of the mountain. If G-Free Foodie could help others provide help & safe meals to Gluten Free diners - well, that would be a big deal.
Now restaurants are asking US how they can provide meals & service to our Gluten Free readers, less than three months after we launched. I'll let you know when the restaurants we've helped are ready to serve the G-Free community. In the meantime, I'll start to dream bigger -
KC
