When the Yoplait team contacted us about trying their new Lactose Free Yogurt from Yoplait, we were hopeful but skeptical. As G-Free Foodies, we try LOTS of products with Gluten & other allergens removed, and we find out flavor and texture have been sacrificed too. Not the case here, we're happy to say! We loved the smooth, creamy texture and delicious flavors of Yoplait Lactose Free, and KC's daughter Sam loved them too. All of the Lactose Free flavors are also Gluten Free.
All Yoplait yogurts contain live & active cultures - important for those of us with digestion issues! The live and active cultures Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus are the two cultures added to milk to create yogurt. Yoplait also adds Lactobacillus acidophilus to the Lactose Free yogurt (that's a helpful one!). The yogurt also contains 50% of the recommended daily value of calcium. And that's all cool with us, but we're just glad it tastes good.
So pick some up & give it a try - we liked all the flavors, but really fell for Peach & French Vanilla - and grab a Facebook coupon for Yoplait Lactose Free while they're still available!

I was so happy to find a lactose free Yoplait and have eaten one nearly every day, but I began to notice I have been getting dizzy, actually to the point of falling down. I realized that I was feeling the same way as when I was younger and we discovered I had hypoglycemia...a prelude to diabetes. Checking everything I'm eating, I discovered that the Yoplait has 26g of sugar, looked it up and found that was 8 1/2 teaspoons of sugar. I also saw on their Facebook that their other Yoplait contains Aspartame. Such a disappointment that they can't seem to make a product we like but isn't detrimental to our health?
