- ½ cup butter one stick
- ⅔ cup Gluten Free Flour Blend cup for cup style - or conventional flour if you aren't gluten-free
- ⅔ cup sugar or coconut sugar
- ⅔ cup milk dairy or coconut
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon ground cardamom optional (but I think you should) or cinnamon
- 3 ½ cups fresh fruit such as peaches sliced and skinned (or berries or apricots or plums or whatever you like) see note for apples
*To make apple cobbler, slice the fruit very thin, or saute sliced apples in butter with a pinch of salt for 3-5 minutes, while the butter is melting in the oven.
Serve with ice cream or whipped cream, or on its own.
