This Canadian company, Nonuttin' Foods, Inc., hit the states last year and has been a favorite of those looking for allergen-friendly snacks that are made with real, healthy ingredients and pack a punch of flavor.  The owner of the company appeared on Martha Stewart last year, so we were really intrigued to give their granola bars a try.

The products made by Nonuttin' are:

    • Peanut Free
    • Tree Nut Free
    • Dairy Free
    • Egg Free
    • Gluten Free
    • Sulfite Free All Natural
    • 0 Grams Trans Fat
    • GMO Free
    • Whole Grain

I really liked the granola bars.  They are skinny bars that are soft and chewy, loaded with pieces of fruit, and they have a great touch of spices.  The bars do not fall apart as you are eating them and there is no weird or unpleasant mouth feel or aftertaste.  My favorite bars were raisin and apple cinnamon and I could very easily have eaten more than one at a time.

The raisin actually reminded me of an oatmeal raisin cookie, with its plump raisins and a touch of cinnamon.  The apple cinnamon had chunks of apple you could see and in my opinion is what it would taste like to eat an apple pie cookie. The chocolate chip and double chocolate chip bars were a close second, but we really preferred the bars without chocolate, which is quite unusual given my love of all things chocolate.

These granola bars have become my snack of choice these days and can be found in both our pantry and my snack bag in the car.  My daughter will even eat them and she doesn't like the wheat-based granola bars you can buy at the grocery store.

Their line of granola and granola bars can be purchased online and at some retailers.  Nonuttin' is attending the upcoming Gluten Intolerance Group of Atlanta's Gluten Free Vendor Fair on October 22nd, so stop by and pick up some samples.
