There is a new line of organic gluten-free brown rice pasta on the market called Jovial.  It was created in Italy by the same pasta maker of the Bionaturae line.  The newly created line uses carefully selected varieties of rice and was developed for taste and texture first and gluten free second.  According to the company, it is as close to traditional as gluten free can be. The pasta is also GFCO certified and Kosher.

I can attest that gluten-free pasta made in Italy has a completely different taste and texture that can be attributed to the water.  Knowing that Jovial is created in Italy and uses rice grown in Italy, this line of gluten-free and organic brown rice pasta definitely has a 'leg up' on its competition.

Brown rice pasta has been readily available for those of us on the gluten-free diet for more than a decade, but his newly created line is dedicated to providing the highest quality and most delicious gluten‐free products that consumers can feel confident serving to their entire family.

Jovial's gluten-free brown rice pasta is:

MADE FROM SELECT VARIETIES OF BROWN RICE

    • Jovial™ Brown Rice Pasta is made from rice grown exclusively in Italy.
    • Jovial™ discovered that certain varieties of rice make superior pasta; the resulting pasta is not sticky or mushy and does not require rinsing after cooking.
    • Jovial™ Brown Rice Pasta has a firm texture and enjoyable flavor that combines perfectly with any type of sauce.
    • This healthful pasta will adapt perfectly to any favorite recipe.

    MASTER CRAFTED IN ITALY

    • Master artisans in Tuscany, Italy have skillfully transformed 100% brown rice flour into the most authentic, best tasting gluten‐free pasta available.
    • The pasta is made with artisanal production methods handed down over five generations.
    • Jovial uses antique bronze dies to set the shape of the pasta, creating a rough texture that better absorbs sauce.
    • Slow drying at low temperatures creates a superior flavor and texture.

    CERTIFIED GLUTEN FREE

    • Jovial™ Brown Rice Pasta is certified by the Gluten Intolerance Group at a level less than 10PPM.
    • This product is made in a dedicated facility free of gluten, casein, eggs, tree nuts and peanuts, but may contain traces of soy.

    VARIETIES

    • Fusilli
    • Penne Rigate
    • Capellini
    • Spaghetti
    • Caserecce

    SUSTAINABLY PACKAGED

    • Jovial™ Brown Rice Pasta is packaged in a carton made from 80% recycled cardboard and is 100% recyclable. The inner bag is certified 100% compostable, made from FSC certified wood pulp.
    • This product line is certified organic under the U.S.D.A. National Organic Program containing 100%certified organic brown rice. Additionally, all pastas are Kosher Certified.

Jovial's new gluten-free pasta can be purchased at Return to Eden and other health food stores.

Good to know. It sounds wonderful! I love Italian made products. Perhaps because I am half Italian. I will definitely check out the links. 🙂
