Madera Vintner’s Association was created in 2001 as a collaborative effort by the area’s family winemakers with the common purpose to promote excellence in winemaking and help direct a region rich in potential through a commitment to modern winemaking techniques and sustainable vineyards practices.
The Madera Vintner’s Association hosts three wine trail weekends a year in February, May and November – known as the Madera Wine Trail. “Guests visiting the Madera Wine Trail reap the benefits of the region’s rich history, knowledgeable staff, and tasting rooms that are still small enough that you can speak to the winemakers themselves.” said Wendy Eachus, Executive Administrator of the Madera Vintner’s Association. “We invite those who are new to wine and wine enthusiasts to come visit the Trail and experience the unique charm of each family-owned winery.”
Participating in community events is important to the Madera Vintner’s Association as it raises awareness about Madera County and its wine grape producing region. “We want our community to know about the local wineries that are here and the excellent wines that are produced and sold.” said Eachus. Throughout the year, the association and its wineries often participate in wine tasting fundraisers and charitable functions. Every year they join with CSU Fresno’s Ag One Foundation to offer multiple scholarships to students pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Viticulture of Enology.
Thanks Madera Vintner’s Association, for joining us at The Eat Well Event. We love wine and we love that it’s gluten free!
