Kettle Cuisine has been around since 1986 when they began cooking soup, mainly for restaurants, using fresh, natural and high quality ingredients. Twenty years later, in 2006 when the FDA proposed a formal definition for gluten free foods Kettle Cuisine began creating gluten free soups and made them directly available to the consumer. Founder and President Jerry Shafir was well aware of the lack of prepared gluten free food options on the market since his daughter, Kate, had been diagnosed with Celiac Disease years before.
There are currently 14 soups in the Kettle Cuisine Gluten Free Frozen Soup line, 10 of them are available in all 50 states. We sampled Thai Curry Chicken Soup, which is dairy free as well. We were quite impressed with this dish. While it doesn’t compare to homemade soup it was good and minimally processed which always makes high marks in our book. We could pronounce every word on the ingredient list! The heat in the curry was just right for most of us, but too spicy for some – depends on your preference. Kettle Cuisine frozen soups are great to keep in your freezer for a light lunch or snack.
Along with Gluten Free Frozen Soups Kettle Cuisine offers Vegetarian, Vegan, Dairy Free and Low Fat Frozen Soups. They also offer a full line of Refrigerated Soups to restaurants, retailers and foodservice establishments in the Northeast, between Maine and Virginia.
