I have always been a fan of crunchy, salty snacks, but they tend to have no nutritional value and leave me feeling hungry and bloated. Leafy kale chips have been around for a number of years now, but there is something about Brad’s Raw Foods line of chips that keep me coming back for more.
Brad’s crackers and chips are gluten free, vegan, high in fiber and protein, a good source of vitamins (A, C, Iron, and Calcium) and they are raw which makes them easy to digest. Brad’s makes 10 flavors of chips and crackers and four flavors of leafy kale chips. I was sent samples of their Vampire Killer and Naked Leafy Kale chips and their Red Bell Pepper Chips to review. My favorite of the bunch was the red bell pepper chips followed by vampire killer and then naked.
Although both of the leafy kale chips had great flavor, I prefer the texture of the red bell pepper chips. The chips are crunchy and sturdy enough to hold up to dipping or topping. I like crunching up the leafy kale chips and using them as a salad topping because they add great flavor and texture to salads not to mention the protein factor. Their beet chips are my favorite and I like to top them with melted goat cheese for an indulgent snack.
The best thing about Brad’s chips is they just taste like flavorful vegetable chips that just happen to be gluten free and raw. Snacking on these chips keeps me full and gives me the extra energy I need to get through a busy day.
Have you tried Brad’s Raw Foods chips? What is your favorite flavor?
